Part of my GCSE Art course. Natural forms. i.e. Pebbles. We did bones & shells & various bits & pieces as part of it as well. But the final piece was based on pebbles. Done in watercolour, 5 colours, colour pencils, & black fineliner, with cling film & a little salt, in around 4 hours. Every year there's a "gifted & talented" thing where six people go to Cedar Farm where one of our ex-part time art teachers has a gallery, & we all do watercolour. It's not just skill. You go because you can gain something from it as well. For me, it was working with different media. Usually it's pencil or acrylic. & This is the result of that. I'm sure I did a journal post about it. From quite a while ago. Been meaning to scan it for ages. It didn't actually fit on the scanner at school & that one is a2 i think. So I had to piece it together. At such a high res on my pc, it was pretty slow going. And it never quite fit. And then I jerked the mouse a bit higher than I intended & it fit PERFECTLY. Yay for happy accidents!
I think it looks kind of like a map, with all those intricate intersecting lines & natural colours. It's a landscape from a single form.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
